The story of the hotel
Love at first site at Perros-Guirec
Built in 1928, the “Beau Site” was a celebrated hotel and restaurant on the Pink Granite Coast before it was commandeered by German troops during World War II. It came into the hands of the French army in 1949 and became a holiday home for military families.
When it was put up for sale by the French Ministry of Defence in 2002, Morgane Le Meur instantly fell in love with the building. And so was born the Hotel Castel Beau Site! The place was done up, preserving the beauties of the past - period floor, cement tiles, etc. - while making it comfortable, modern and refined.
After a year of renovation, the establishment regained its former glory and returned to its origins by becoming a hotel and a restaurant, the latter of which Morgane called “La Table de Mon Père” (My father’s table). This is an homage to her father Jean-Claude Daunat, once an emblematic figure of French cycling and subsequent founder of the
eponymous Breton food company.
Further transformations followed, which allowed the hotel to gain 4 stars in 2009. Today, Morgane manages the Castel Beau Site with her husband Gilles, cultivating a good family spirit.
