Ar Seiz Breur, Breton artistic independence

Founded in 1923 at the Folgoët pardon by Jeanne Malivel, René-Yves Creston, and Suzanne Creston, the Ar Seiz Breur (The Seven Brothers) movement brought together around sixty Breton artists with a single ambition: to renew Breton folk art by combining Celtic tradition with a modernity akin to Art Deco.

FAQs

Are these activities within walking distance of the hotel?

Yes. The village of Ploumanac'h, its harbour and its beach are just a few steps from the house. The customs officers' path (sentier des douaniers) begins a few metres from our hotel, and the Pink Granite Coast can then be explored by car or by boat. For views from the sea, you will of course need to check boat departure times, and our reception team will be happy to help.

Can Castel Beau Site arrange transfers to these destinations?

Yes. Our reception team will gladly arrange private transfers, by taxi or with a driver, to Perros-Guirec, Lannion station or the restaurants along the coast. Simply give us the destination and the time, and the vehicle will be waiting in front of the hotel. Your return can be arranged at your convenience.

Can I order a picnic for the day?

Yes. Ordered the day before, a picnic from our kitchens will accompany you along the trails or to a secluded cove: mixed salads, sandwiches, dessert and drinks, packed in a basket ready to go. Our reception team can also recommend good restaurants along your way.

Can I leave my luggage at the hotel after checking out?

Of course. Your room must be vacated by 11 am, but your luggage is still welcome: reception will keep it safe until you actually leave, and our team will gladly carry it to your vehicle. The perfect excuse for one last walk with your feet in the water.

Do these activities need to be booked in advance?

For the most part, no: beaches, trails and villages can be enjoyed as your days unfold. Some experiences are nevertheless worth booking, such as a boat trip, a dinner overlooking the cove or seasonal visits. Our team will gladly take care of it for you.
