Brittany is a land of many facets, brimming with treasures that deserve to be explored at your own pace. From gastronomy and heritage to breathtaking views, art, and history, here is some inspiration to help you begin a journey that is waiting just for you.
Costaérès: its castle, its legend
Facing Saint-Guirec beach and visible from the terrace of the Castel Beau Site, the Château de Costaérès stands with its neo-medieval silhouette on a small island of pink granite.
The Traouïero Valley
Nestled between Perros-Guirec and Trégastel, just minutes from the Castel Beau Site, the Traouïero Valley offers an escape away from the coastline.
The Mean Ruz Lighthouse, a sentinel of pink granite
Built on a pink granite promontory at the entrance to the port of Ploumanac'h, the Mean Ruz lighthouse has been watching over the coast since 1948.
FAQs
FAQs
Are these activities within walking distance of the hotel?
Yes. The village of Ploumanac'h, its harbour and its beach are just a few steps from the house. The customs officers' path (sentier des douaniers) begins a few metres from our hotel, and the Pink Granite Coast can then be explored by car or by boat. For views from the sea, you will of course need to check boat departure times, and our reception team will be happy to help.
Can Castel Beau Site arrange transfers to these destinations?
Yes. Our reception team will gladly arrange private transfers, by taxi or with a driver, to Perros-Guirec, Lannion station or the restaurants along the coast. Simply give us the destination and the time, and the vehicle will be waiting in front of the hotel. Your return can be arranged at your convenience.
Can I order a picnic for the day?
Yes. Ordered the day before, a picnic from our kitchens will accompany you along the trails or to a secluded cove: mixed salads, sandwiches, dessert and drinks, packed in a basket ready to go. Our reception team can also recommend good restaurants along your way.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel after checking out?
Of course. Your room must be vacated by 11 am, but your luggage is still welcome: reception will keep it safe until you actually leave, and our team will gladly carry it to your vehicle. The perfect excuse for one last walk with your feet in the water.
Do these activities need to be booked in advance?
For the most part, no: beaches, trails and villages can be enjoyed as your days unfold. Some experiences are nevertheless worth booking, such as a boat trip, a dinner overlooking the cove or seasonal visits. Our team will gladly take care of it for you.
