Distillery tour

In the heart of the Trégor region, in Lannion, the Warenghem Distillery has been perfecting the art of cider brandy for decades. Lambig, also known as Fine de Bretagne, is produced by double-distilling Breton apple cider in a copper still. Its name comes from the Breton word "al lambig," which refers to the still itself. Holding an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) status since 2015, this brandy is approximately 40% alcohol by volume and is aged in oak barrels. Pommeau de Bretagne, also an AOC product, blends this brandy with unfermented apple must, creating a sweet, fruity aperitif best served chilled. Cider production in the Trégor region is rooted in a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. The Vergers de la Côte de Granit in Saint-Quay-Perros produce farmhouse cider from apples harvested less than two kilometers from the beach. Breton cider, typically served in a traditional bowl, is known for its rustic, robust aromas. It makes for a wonderful excursion, one that can be capped off on our terrace, watching the sunset over the bay of Ploumanac'h with a glass in hand.
