The Traouïero Valley

Nestled between Perros-Guirec and Trégastel, just minutes from the Castel Beau Site, the Traouïero Valley offers an escape away from the coastline. This Breton term means "the valleys": two deep gorges where the Kérougant stream winds its way, forming the natural boundary between the two towns. The four-kilometer hiking trail passes through a dense forest of oak, chestnut, and hazel trees, scattered with moss-covered granite boulders. A unique microclimate allows rare fern species to thrive here, including royal ferns that date back 300 million years. Bridging the worlds of nature and legend, the valley is filled with sites steeped in history, whether factual or folklore. From the Leper's Cave and the Korrigan House to the Leper's Trough, there are many mysterious spots to discover during guided tours and storytelling hikes that reveal all their secrets.
